Abstract:

A phytochemicals investigation on the leaves of Cyphostemma digitatum,  has been conducted. four  triterpenes were isolated and identified as Olean-12-ene-3, 22-diol (sophoradiol), 25-O-methylalisol A, Lupeone & Resveratrol, from the ethanol extract of the plants. The separations of the chemical components were carried out by different chromatography techniques and their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods such as mass spectrometry (MS), 1H and 13 C NMR and by comparison with those of previously reported data.
